Speleological flashlight
Kaderka, Jakub ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
Existing speleology headlamps are discussed and several improvement are proposed in the beginning of the thesis. A switched hystersis buck LED driver is designed. Part selection process is mentioned with focus on driver efficiency. Li-Ion charger and battery protection circuit is discussed. Final part of the thesis describes construction of working lamp prototype and measurements of its characteristics. The LED driver reaches efficiency of 96 %, the maximal luminous flux is 869 lumens. The automated light regulation based on measuring amount of reflected light was found to be inefficient in a muddy underground.
Design of Handheld Lamp
Horáček, Radim ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor‘s thesis is to bring an inovative approach to design of handheld lamp, while meeting technical, aesthetic, ergonomic and ecological requirements. The torch effectively combines modern design and innovatove holding solution; it brings a new perspective on this issue. Torch composed of segments, equipped with LEDs, is placed on the forearm. This solution provides a free hands and high mobility.
Controlling a power LED using ATtiny
Holubčík, Jiří ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This master´s thesis puts mind to choice and suggestion of suited type of DC/DC tension converter for power supply of power LED. It shows comparison of available types of accumulators in The Czech Republic and types of DC/DC converters used in construction of the sample. The choice of available source of energy is subordinated to final weight and size of a battery. There are also some explicit requirements for the smallest possible size and highest effictivity. So the choice is aimed only for converters with a simple coil and minimum numbers of switching elements to realize the converter, for example by SMT technology. One of many possibilities is LTC3453 circuit, which is described in this thesis, assembled and measured. On the basis of this circuit the next two samples are assembled. Here I try to suppress problems from previous circuit and expand it´s possibilities by adding the control of luminance via the microcontroller ATtiny. Then is introduced the basic description of flashlight Petzl MYO XP which is available in stores.
